About us

Not a video to watch. A live conversation you direct yourself.

FIAE.rocks is a digital platform for live one-to-one exam conversations with an AI tutor. You speak through your microphone while the tutor listens in real time, responds immediately, and asks relevant follow-up questions. Built especially for apprentices, career changers, students, and self-directed learners, but open to anyone who wants to practise technical exam topics aloud at their own pace.

The bet

Part 1 and part 2 of the extended final examination, and the oral supplementary examination on top of it, are decided in conversation: under time pressure, in front of people, out loud. Knowledge that only exists on paper falls apart at the first follow-up question.

There is no shortage of question banks, flashcards and chat tutors that type. What was missing was somewhere to practise the part that actually gets graded: saying it. That is the whole bet, and everything below follows from it.

What it is not
  • FIAE.rocks is not a school, educational institution, learning centre, or training provider.
  • The platform offers self-directed exam practice, not lessons, formal instruction, or vocational training.
  • AI-generated content and assessments can be incomplete or incorrect and are not a promise of perfect instruction.
  • We do not guarantee that you will pass an exam, achieve a particular grade, or reach a particular learning outcome.
  • Not a collection of original examination questions. The conversations are our own.
  • FIAE.rocks itself does not provide tutoring. Clearly separated external courses are listed on the partner page.
How the AI tutor works

Not one answer. A loop for deliberate practice.

The agent knows the course objective, listens to your answer in real time, and selects the next practice prompt. You can interrupt it while it is responding.

  1. 01

    It opens with a question

The tutor takes the course objective and starts a spoken exam conversation instead of reciting a lesson.

  2. 02

    It listens and adapts

You answer in your own words. The agent can interrupt itself when you speak, follow up, simplify, or make the next question harder.

  3. 03

It chooses a tool when words are not enough

A table, diagram, code sample, source excerpt, hint or board sketch appears through a live tool call and stays part of the conversation.

  4. 04

It grades the answer, not the confidence

Each answer is marked right, right with help, or wrong. Weak topics and earned points shape what you should practise next.

  5. 05

    Then the loop starts again

The tutor returns to the topic from another angle so you can test whether you can explain it aloud without the scaffolding.

The live voice connection runs over WebRTC to OpenAI Realtime. Our server issues a short-lived session key but does not receive your audio. The word-by-word transcript exists in your browser for the session and is not stored afterwards.

Tools at hand

When words are not enough, it shows its work.

The agent chooses these tools itself during a live conversation with the avatar. Nothing is a prepared slide or prerecorded video. Each visual is created for the question being discussed.

Table

Compare what sounds almost the same.

When terms are easy to confuse, the tutor places their differences side by side and talks you through the decisive column.

After the session

One conversation is practice. A run of them is preparation.

Your streak

Consecutive days with at least one graded run, counted on Berlin calendar days so a late-evening session still counts for that day. Current and longest, both kept.

Where it did not stick

Every answer is graded right, with help, or wrong, and each run leaves up to five weak topics behind. That list is the shortest honest answer to what to practise next.

Points you actually earned

A run only counts once it has a graded answer, and the tally is clamped against the server clock. A streak worth having is one that cannot be clicked into existence.

A platform, not a course list

The catalog is not finished. That is the point.

Curated conversations set the standard. Everything beyond them comes from members who cut a topic exactly the way their own examination will.

  • The subjects the exam asks about

Programming, databases, computer science, business administration, project management and communication. Filter by topic, rating, length, mode and language.

  • Your own conversations

Subject, topic, conversation style, voice and length are yours to set. How many you may keep depends on your plan.

  • German and English

Every conversation carries its own language, and the tutor is held to it for the whole session, including the lip sync.

Sponsor the open demo

A course every learner can try for free.

Every registered learner currently gets one complimentary demo run. A sponsor can help us keep that door open by covering the live AI voice minutes behind it, regardless of a learner’s budget.

Sponsored minutes are not a balance for whoever pays. We split them at booking time: 30% enters the monthly leaderboard pot and 70% stays in a global FIAE.rocks company account that pays for sponsored courses.

How sponsorship works

  1. 30% of every package enters the current calendar month's leaderboard pot, alongside minutes paid in by course resets.
  2. The other 70% remains available across months in the company account. It pays standard-model time for courses marked as sponsored; the existing open demo is the first one.
  3. Sponsoring buys no rank. At month-end only the leaderboard pot is distributed 50%, 30% and 20% to its top three learners as voice minutes that never expire.

€15.99

150 community minutes

45 minutes enter this month's leaderboard pot; 105 minutes fund sponsored courses through the company account.

€29.99

350 community minutes

105 minutes enter this month's leaderboard pot; 245 minutes fund sponsored courses through the company account.

€59.99

800 community minutes

240 minutes enter this month's leaderboard pot; 560 minutes fund sponsored courses through the company account.

A sponsorship is a one-off purchase, not a donation, and it grants the buyer no minutes, no plan and no place in the ranking. No VAT is charged or shown under § 19 UStG. Larger or ongoing partnerships are a conversation rather than a button: talk about sponsorship.

For organisations

Companies, teams, study groups.

The Enterprise plan adds what a single account cannot carry: one organisation account, up to 25 teams, unlimited conversations of your own, and every conversation live with a 3D avatar.

There is no checkout button for it, and that is deliberate: team size, required minutes and onboarding are settled in a conversation, not guessed by a form.

What we need for that conversation

  • How many learners, and in how many groups.
  • Which examination and which subjects you are aiming at.
  • Roughly how much speaking time per learner and month.
  • Whether you want to author your own conversations.
