Why we built it
AI tooling is everywhere — but the moment you want to ship something, the same questions return: which models can I call without a card? What does “free” actually mean for an API? What’s meant for self-hosting? And which “free tier” quietly turns into a paywall once you’ve invested time?
We kept opening the same tabs, comparing the same pages, and still walking away unsure. So we asked a simpler question: what if one calm page did the sorting and linking for you — without hype, just structure.

What BLXRouter is for
BLXRouter is a public catalogue. You’ll find:
- Free API models — routes that are genuinely usable without payment for calls, with the metadata you need to compare options fairly.
- Open models — the kind of entries that make sense when you want to run things yourself and keep control end-to-end.
- Providers with free tiers — a curated set of services where a lasting free entry point is a realistic expectation, not a footnote.
Each row carries the key facts and a direct link to the source — so when you need depth, you read it where it’s authoritative, not second-hand.
Why that matters to us (and hopefully to you)
We think access to tools shouldn’t depend on how much patience you have for pricing pages. A lot of the best ideas start as side projects — no budget, no procurement process. If the first step is “spend an afternoon decoding docs,” many ideas never get past day one.
BLXRouter is our attempt to lower that step: faster orientation, less guesswork, more time building the thing you actually care about.
Why “updated regularly” isn’t marketing fluff
Offers and model lineups change constantly. A static export goes stale fast. We keep the catalogue fresh on a schedule so you’re not staring at last season’s assumptions.
No account — open the page and use it.
